Carol Gee has worked in higher education for over 28 years. With a masters degree in Human Relations and Management coupled with undergrad degrees in sociology and psychology, she trained as a Gestalt Therapist counseling adults and children in a mental health setting for several years. However her first love has always been writing. She likens her books and columns to be like ’therapy but without the couch’.  A freelance writer with an emphasis on the human condition as well as business practices her work has appeared in such venues as Atlanta Woman Magazine, Romantic Homes Magazine (a national magazine);The Emory Report, a faculty/staff periodical; Women’s News and Narratives a periodical of The Women’s Center at Emory; Goizueta Magazine and Knowledge@ Emory (both periodicals of Emory Business School) and Swing Magazine (an Atlanta Magazine for Baby Boomers).  Her thoughts on aging smart in regards to living your dreams, purpose and passion, appears in the 2006 baby boomer book, AGE SMART-Discovering the Foundation of Youth at Midlife and Beyone (agesmartbook.com). 
Poems from her book, “Aquarius Rising” appear in, Diary of a “Flygirl” Wannabe as well as in several anthologies.  An Air Force veteran, Carol served eight years on active duty and fifteen years in the Air Force Reserves, retiring after twenty-plus years of combined military service. She has been married for 38 years to a retired AF non-Commissions Officer whom she met in the service.  They reside in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
